The primary focus of a personal trainer is fitness. As a personal trainer, I design safe & effective workout programs that are tailored to each individual client.
While fitness maintains an important role, a health coach also focuses on nutrition, stress management, and behavior change. As a health coach, I design a comprehensive program for each client that takes into account all aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
This specialty provides in-depth training that focuses on working with existing issues and preventing future ones found in the lower back/hip, knees, and shoulders.
The Biomechanics Method
The primary focus of a Corrective Exercise Specialist to to create programs that help clients eliminate pain and improve function so that they can regain or continue active lifestyles. These programs target both muscular and joint pain within the back, neck, shoulder, knee, ankle, & foot.
Kinesiology is simply a fancy term for the scientific study of human movement and physical activity. As part of my degree, I studied biology, chemistry, anatomy, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor skill learning, sports psychology, athletic training, and health & fitness program design.
In 2010, my wife, Davita, and I moved to Anthem along with our then 6 month old son, Wyatt. We spent that busy first year getting settled into our house, exploring Phoenix, and of course, spending a lot of time at the Anthem Community Center and Park! Primarily during Wyatt's naps, I worked on creating Fitness Home Delivery, Inc. My vision was simple. I wanted to show people how to get a safe and effective workout at home.
Upon getting to know me, people quickly realize how passionate I am about health and fitness. However, that wasn't always the case. Throughout high school, I was drawn to the business world, specifically investments. After obtaining a degree in finance in 2000, I spent several years in Corporate America. Thanks to a couple of personal health scares, it was during this time that I started working out. As the years went by, I became more interested in health and fitness and even flirted with the idea of a career change. Finally, in 2007, I made the change and started working towards a fitness degree, which I obtained in 2009.
I am now healthier, happier, and full of excitement about what the future holds! Davita and I have since welcomed our second child, Eli, into the family and I have welcomed several clients into the Fitness Home Delivery family.
