Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement and physical activity. As part of my degree, I studied biology, chemistry, anatomy, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor skill learning, sports psychology, athletic training, and health & fitness program design.
The primary focus of a personal trainer is fitness. As a personal trainer, I design safe & effective workout programs that are tailored to each individual member.
While fitness maintains an important role, a health coach also focuses on nutrition, weight management, stress management, and behavior change. As a health coach, I design a comprehensive program for each member that takes into account all aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
This specialty provides the expertise to give scientifically supported, practical, and relevant nutrition advice to my members. I am able to give advice on selecting and preparing food, reading nutrition labels, and choosing meals that facilitate weight loss, improve performance, and meet special dietary needs.
This specialty provides in-depth training that focuses on working with existing issues and preventing future ones found in the lower back/hips, knees, and shoulders.
The primary focus of a corrective exercise specialist is to create programs that help members eliminate pain and improve function so that they can regain or continue active lifestyles. These programs target both muscular and joint pain within the back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, and foot.
